- Colosseum Rome — Only guide dogs or therapy dogs (with medical certification) are allowed inside the Colosseum and closed areas (Art. 9.3); no other pets.
- Roman Forum and Palatine Hill Rome — The open areas of the Roman Forum and Palatine allow small dogs (under 10 kg) carried exclusively in an appropriate pet carrier; guide/therapy dogs with medical certification otherwise (Art. 9.3).
- Pantheon Rome — 'It is forbidden to have dogs of any size with you, unless it is a guide dog or a service dog needed for documented medical reasons.' Assistance/service dogs only.
- Capitoline Museums Rome — Domestic animals forbidden except small dogs carried in a pet carrier ('cani di piccola taglia nel trasportino').
- Palazzo Barberini Rome — Dogs (even small) forbidden, except guide dogs for the visually impaired or with a pet-therapy certificate.
- Pitti Palace Florence — Animals forbidden except guide dogs for the blind, service dogs for the disabled and certified pet-therapy animals, all kept on a leash.
- Pinacoteca Ambrosiana Milan — Only guide dogs for the blind/visually impaired and certified therapeutic or assistance animals (with medical prescription) are permitted.
- Pompeii Archaeological Park Pompeii — Only dogs up to 10 kg and max 40 cm height may enter, on a lead and carried inside buildings; medium/large dogs forbidden. Guide dogs assisting people with disabilities are allowed.
- Herculaneum Ercolano — Dogs allowed on leash or muzzle (any breed/size); owners must carry waste bags; dogs must be carried in the Antiquarium, Boat Pavilion and mosaic-floor domus.
- Naples National Archaeological Museum MANN Naples — Companion animals allowed only if small enough to be carried in the arms or in a bag; certified assistance animals allowed when working and wearing their harness/tabard.
- Royal Palace of Caserta Caserta — No animals allowed except guide dogs for the blind and certified service dogs (must be leashed; advance notice via email with certification required).
- Paestum Archaeological Park Paestum — Allowed in archaeological areas with leash and muzzle ('guinzaglio e museruola'), kept away from temples; only small animals carried/in carriers allowed in the Museum; guide dogs permitted everywhere.

- Galleria Borghese Rome — Animals forbidden except guide dogs ('animali (ad eccezione dei cani guida)').
