- Colosseum Rome — Ordinary photography is permitted; only professional optical/audio equipment and drones require formal authorization (Art. 9.7). Selfie sticks are banned (Art. 9.6).
- Roman Forum and Palatine Hill Rome — Ordinary cameras are not restricted; only professional optical/audio equipment (video cameras, microphones, mixers, drones) requires authorization. Selfie sticks are prohibited (Art. 9.6/9.7).
- Capitoline Museums Rome — Photo/video of artworks allowed for personal/study use (except temporary exhibitions); professional shoots need authorization.
- Domus Aurea Rome — Personal/non-professional photography not prohibited; only professional gear and selfie sticks banned (Art. 9.6-9.7).
- Uffizi Gallery Florence — Photography allowed for personal/study purposes (except works on loan); no flash, no stands, no tripods.
- Pinacoteca di Brera Milan — Fotografie amatoriali per uso personale/studio consentite; vietati flash e selfie-stick.

- Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel Rome — Photography allowed for personal use in all areas EXCEPT the Sistine Chapel, where photos and films are forbidden. Flash photography is strictly forbidden everywhere. Cameras cannot be left in the cloakroom.
- St. Peter's Basilica Rome — Photography allowed without flash ('Si, e permesso fare foto senza flash'). Bulky/professional equipment requires authorization.
- Galleria Borghese Rome — Photos/videos for personal/study use are free, but only without tripods/stands, without flash, and without contact with artworks. Commercial reproduction requires a concession.
- Pantheon Rome — Personal photography/video allowed ('mobile phones can only be used to take pictures and shoot videos'), but professional pictures/videos are forbidden without specific authorization from the Direzione dei Musei statali della citta di Roma.
- Galleria Doria Pamphilj Rome — Still cameras allowed for ticket-holders, no flash, no selfie sticks; clips max 10 sec for personal use; video cameras need authorization (Art. 19-21).
