- Roman Forum and Palatine Hill Rome — Eating is only allowed in designated areas per the official regulation (Art. 9.2); bringing food is not explicitly banned, but consuming meals is restricted to permitted spaces.
- Domus Aurea Rome — Eating forbidden except in permitted areas (Art. 9.2); no such area exists inside the Domus Aurea tour, so effectively no consumption inside.
- Pompeii Archaeological Park Pompeii — Forbidden to eat outside specially designated places; eating is allowed only in designated areas.

- Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel Rome — It is forbidden to consume food and drink inside the exhibition halls; food and drinks of any type must be stowed in the (free) cloakroom.
